I was surprised by this book. I thought it would be "dark" and I wasn't sure how "twisted". While it is geared towards young adults and not kids, I thought this was age appropriate but also an interesting version of a classic story that we know and love. I loved how descriptive the author was - it really brought the book to life and I even had to look up a few words that were unknown to me! Great read! I only wish it went further into the growing up years.
